(stats) Those statistics underscore the importance of having a fire extinguisher in your home because being able to respond to a small fire quickly can stop it from turning into a big one.
Personally, we own several of the First Alert fire extinguishers that we picked up from Costco and we leave one on each floor. The last thing we want to do is run up and down floors when there is a fire emergency in the home.
